Calendar

Please note: this calendar is an aide to those wishing to book the hall and, as such, only shows those events taking place in the hall itself; it does not include village events and meetings of clubs and societies that take place in other venues, e.g. choir, gardening club or church events and services. For these, please refer to the newsletter.

On this calendar, dates and times for clubs, classes and societies will be correct for the upcoming month. Future months are correct as far as we know but liable to change, so dates will only be put on the calendar for the upcoming two to three months. Private bookings and one-off events are shown as soon as possible after booking and are correct unless the hirer amends details.

Winter Chill Yoga
Feb 22 @ 17:30 – 20:30

Join Mary for this 3 hour session of yin and Vinyasa yoga, relaxation and pranayama.
The yoga practice will reflect the rhythms of nature.
Having spent sunny days this summer practicing sun salutations at the beach and mediating down by the river, a change is in the air.

Now summer has drawn to a close, we can take the opportunity to draw our own awareness inward and to take stock.

In Nature this is a time of abundance, but also a time to reflect on what we no longer need. Autumn is a time of letting go, releasing all that no longer serves us well, and preparing to move into the quietness of the winter.

Yin yoga consists of mostly floor based postures that are held in stillness, usually for 3 minuets or more. The practice is deep and meditative.

The Vinyasa practice flows with the breath through a fluid sequence of postures.
In the pranayama session we will look at how we can control the breath, let go of tension and move towards a place of relaxation.

Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping.
It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and we become systematically and increasingly aware of our inner world.

Warming soup, winter teas and nibbles included.

The cost is £30 per person and spaces are limited so booking is essential.

North Wales Yoga Feast
Mar 6 @ 18:00 – 20:30

Join us for our first evening event: a simplified, modest take on the North Wales Yoga Feast’s.

Unwind after the busyness of your week with a relaxing Yoga session, followed by a simple meal of homemade vegetarian soup & Mirco’s delicious, hand baked sourdough bread.

***This event will be held at The Memorial Hall/Neuadd Goffa, Mynydd Llandegai, LL57 4LQ. Please note this is near Bethesda not in Bangor.***

The evening has been designed to ease you into your weekend, in a gentle, nourishing way. Expect guided breath work, mindful movement & a deep relaxation.

Our intention is to combine the joys of healthy food & accessible Yoga, to establish a warm atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable enough to chat & meet like minded people; essentially to create a sense of community whilst nourishing your body with good food.

Mirco will be making a vegetarian soup & home baked sourdough bread ( dietary requirements catered for with advance notification) using as much locally sourced, organic produce as possible. Herbal teas & coffee available.

Brief outline:

. 6pm – Energy ball upon arrival. Settling.

. 6:15pm – 7:30pm – Yoga.

. 7:30pm – 8:30pm – Soup & socialising.

Investment for the experience £25 (to be paid upon reserving your place). Spaces are limited, on a first come first served basis. To book your place please message me directly at Ellie Evans Yoga.

We look forward to experiencing the event with you,
Ellie & Mirco.
