Building Work
The work currently taking place to the side of the hall is for the new changing facilities. Months and months of hard work chasing grants, mainly by the football club, has resulted in the funding for this extension which will house changing rooms for both home and away teams and referee. There will also be a small kitchen so refreshments can be provided during matches.
This badly needed facility will mean that the children’s teams can now play here as well as providing a much pleasanter experience for the adult players. We will also have the opportunity to attract other users to the hall who require changing space/showers.
Initial problems with power, drainage and water supply have all been sorted out early thanks to Chas so now with good luck and fair weather (!) the foundations should be poured by early June after which the walls will go up and the rest of the work should be completed by the end of August.
(The plans for this build are currently pinned up in the hall if anyone would like to see them)
