Please note: this calendar is an aide to those wishing to book the hall and, as such, only shows those events taking place in the hall itself; it does not include village events and meetings of clubs and societies that take place in other venues, e.g. choir, gardening club or church events and services. For these, please refer to the newsletter.
On this calendar, dates and times for clubs, classes and societies will be correct for the upcoming month. Future months are correct as far as we know but liable to change, so dates will only be put on the calendar for the upcoming two to three months. Private bookings and one-off events are shown as soon as possible after booking and are correct unless the hirer amends details.

SPACES VERY LIMITED!
In this day-long workshop you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the ancient craft of willow weaving.
We will learn to make a small ‘asymmetric’ basket with handle in the style of a Polish basketmaker.
In a friendly, supportive environment at Mynydd Llandygai, local basketmaker Karla Pearce will guide you through the process of weaving the base and some basic techniques for weaving the sides and folding down a border. We will talk about shaping your basket and the different ways you can add a handle. This will be a small class (maximum of 8 people) so there will be plenty of time for questions and small group support. If you have a piece of wood you would like to incorporate into your basket, please bring it along. There will also be a selection of wood available to choose from. All materials and use of tools are included in the workshop fee, £60.
